Penalties should be counted for 1st tiebreaker.

So uncapped pts including penalties.

I think the tie breaker should be slightly different to promote the spirit of the gathering.

1. Capped BP + Penalties*
2. Conduct Penalties* (team with fewer penalties wins)
3. Uncapped BP + Penalties*
4. Strength of Schedule
5. Coin Flip

edit: *I would separate conduct penalties from the general body of penalties as the first tie breaker. I do not find penalties issued for list errors and late results submissions of equal value to those issued for unsportsmanship behaviour.

Just to be clear when I mention penalties as the first tie breaker I mean conduct penalties rather than - list errors and late results submissions. :)

I'd agree that Yellow/Red cards could be a good tie breaker.

Would love this.

Would need some very clear wording around penalties though (or would time penalties count to the same level as yellow card pts etc), my personal view is that yellow/red pts are worse than slower play penalties. Felt the slow play penalties worked well this year and 4 hours should be long enough to get a round done

Why even have a coin flip, if it gets that far and people are still tied, at that point Id just shake hands and share the prie

Why a coin flip? We play T9A, let's captains of both team roll the same dice and highest wins!

SoS is *very* easy to calculate, and TourneyKeeper already does some very similar functionality to it, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's already in.

I personally prefer VPs as you have ZERO control over SoS.

VP is IMO simply the worst tie breaker ever for reasons explained here above.

I actually love the head to head result if applicable.

Norway was N°1 at VP and got 0 penalties. Would have been difficult to beat the True Norses in a tie breaker process!

To cement the "not use VP" position, IMO the best reason to not use VP has not been stated yet: It is not a zero-sum.
Which means it is quite easy to have both teams get absurdly large (and fake) amount of VPs. Pacts would need heavy monitoring over the VPs allegedly stated. The traceability of VPs is non-existant
