Team Serbia

1. Later

In my opinion it is rather late for this kind of information and voting. Teams that vote YES for this will want to practice against their first opponent lists. Since this vote is so near the event, some teams may not have the option to practice at all. For example, some teams might be on their vacations etc. For next year this is a nice idea, for this, I believe it came too late.

2. Yes

Which Team will be able to practice within 14 days on a level that makes any difference? We have voted yes although our team will not meet once till ETC and I will have no chance for any training, I just find it more relaxed to know who our first opponent will be.

Team Ireland votes :

1. Later
2. Yes

PS. Jonny, if you emailed all the captains as you said you would in your opening post, I never received it, and even though the voting window was very short (ended last night), I would still like my vote to be counted.

To me its a draw on first round pairings as Ireland missed the deadline and by the way Ireland is not even effected by this vote as they are not attending this year and the things we have voted on are only for the 2018 ETC

I emailed all the captains of the teams who are attending, as they are the only ones affected (well you are affected I suppose, being a Team Scotland player and all :) ).

I guess that means Arkon does not get an additional vote as Captain of Germany (as well as Greece).?

Arkon, while Team Ireland are not attending this year, I still am as a merc for a different team, so I have a valid interest in this. Further, I have a legal vote under the ETC Charter as Team Ireland attended at least one of the previous two ETCs (in our case we attended both). Therefore, I wish for my vote to be respected.

Jonny,

The later-or-now question is hardly the most important thing for this year's ETC and the vote is either a perfect 50-50 or extremely close. Rather than have a long argument about electoral rules, I suggest that you simply decide. Whichever you pick, you won't hear any complaints from me.

On the clarifications, did you see Mark and Tim's posts and my reply on the ETC FoW 2018 Rulespack thread? Sorry for the error that led to this complication.

cheers,
Graham

In regards to the now or later vote, I'm going to make the weak compromise, split the difference, and do the draw next week.

With the rules clarification, I'd be inclined to just leave out the bit about planes and call it done.

Any chance we know the singles missions? Or are we going to use the new V4 attack/manouver/defend system? Cheers!
