We have pizzaguardian designing the terrain for you and he plays fow as well, we just need from you the give us a plan of the terrain, which board should have what terrain, themes.. (for example Table A should have 4 ruins 2 forests 1 lake and so on).

Here is an example how it can look

I don't know if this is the most helpful way to put it, but one thing I have noticed is a lack of hills on many of the tables. High ground is key terrain and we never seem to have any. The movement rules (shoot and scoot/blitz become very useful if you have hold to work with and even more so to keep artillery outside LOS

Does it mean that all terrain is going to be made out of paper?
What about forests? And what about the possibility of placing forces in the buildings?
It's a major component of the game and having all buildings as solid piece makes this nearly impossible.

What happened with the old terrain base that was used before?

Dont worry the roofs will be able to come of. And it is made of 3mm forex so it wont just crumble. The roofs will be one piece, the walls another.

The forests can be printed in the same way with the texture you guys want.

This tecnique can also be used for terrains like roads, lakes and fields(specially harvested fields).

Do all terrains will be brand new or you have terrains from past ETCs ?
Do players need to bring terrains ?

Terrains are keys in FoW.
Too few and the game is nonsense.
Too many and several armies will be screwed.
Balance is key.

A good FoW board have a minimum of 10 terrains pieces on it.
15 is a good average, and terrains shall be splitted evenly so there are no « billard board » areas, or « urban fever » areas.

Bear in mind the 3 most useful and balanced terrains in FoW are :
- woods
- fields
- hedges
Hills can provide a massive advantage, while houses are impassable to Tanks.

There are LOT of good examples of playable FoW boards on the internet, and players can provide much valuable advices on the topic.

There will be terrain from the past ETC event Salamanca.

There won't be need for players to bring terrain.

Thanks for the numbers, we will make sure to meet that number. Please give more input if you have it. Will make sure the orga comes as close as possible.

So how does this sound

Zitat
Per table;
3-4 houses
2-4 forests
0-1 lakes
2-4 fields(harvested and non harvested)
Some hedges and roads thrown in tables as well

Regarding the size of forests/woods:
Keep in mind, that in the rules the edge of the wood is 2" - so to hide a unit the forest/wood has to be of an certain size ;)

You need to add 1-3 hills to those numbers, IMHO...

Sure. The bare minimum is already secured, will work to get the best ratio.
